Little Stars -- This class is for children 2 - 3 years of age.  A parent or responsible adult participation is required.  Children work on increasing their motor skills, coordination and body awareness.  Activities appropriate for the age and skill level of the student are provided in a fun atmosphere.  Children will experience different types of apparatus with hands on support.

Pre-school -- Students between the ages of 3 and 5 begin learning the terms and concepts of gymnastics in greater detail.  Children develop balance, control, increase motor skills and learn focus and concentration, socialization and respect for others.   Activities are age appropriate and will include skills such as, rolls, handstands, cartwheels, bridges, jumps, and the basics of bars, beam, vault, and trampoline.

Recreational- Elementary -- Most classes are multi-level and appropriate for beginners through intermediate level gymnasts.  Students learn the fundamentals as well as intermediate level skills.  These classes follow USA Gymnastics progressions from levels 1-3, including cartwheels, round-offs, back walkovers, and back handsprings.  They will also learn fundamentals on bars, beam, vault, and trampoline.

Junior/Senior High -- This is mainly a tumbling program for girls with an emphasis on learning proper progressions in both tumbling skills and conditioning. This is an excellent class for cheerleaders needing to learn tumbling skills.   Open to girls going into 6th grade with some tumbling experience.  Some apparatus work and trampoline is included.

Pre-Team -- Here is the class for girls interested in "more than recreational gymnastics".  Gymnasts will be learning skills consistent with USAG compulsory routines.   Evaluation/ recommendation by the coach is required. There is more work on equipment than in the recreational program.

Girl's Team -- Gymnasts must possess certain skills such as a round-off back handspring and be evaluated by the head coach.  Team participation requires an increased level of commitment for training and seasonal competition.  Gymnasts must work all 4 events.  Rising Star teams follow the ten level progressions of USA Gymnastics and compete in State and regional meets.

Boy's Team -- This is a combination of pre- team and team and is open to interested boys with basic level skills.  They work all 6 men's events and follow the USA Gymnastics levels.  When gymnasts are ready, there is an opportunity for competition.  The men's events are Floor Exercise, Pommel Horse, Still rings, High bar, Parallel Bars and Vault.

Trampoline -- New in the fall of 2003 this class will begin with skill development and offers the opportunity for competition when gymnasts are ready.

Camps -- Summer Camps at Rising Star offer students a unique opportunity to shine!  In addition to learning new skills and new routines, the students also play games and do cool crafts.  Each day is special, so make sure to check ahead for the daily theme!

Private Lessons -- Private lessons are only offered to students enrolled in the program. They are offered in 30 minute sessions to work on a particular skill or routine.  Open on a limited basis.

Open Gym -- This is a time for gymnasts to work on skills they already have and can perform safely without the help of an instructor.  Instructors are available but will not provide instruction in a private lesson format during open gym time.  Rising Star students may bring friends not enrolled in the program, but they MUST have a liability waiver signed by a parent/guardian before participation.
